Minecraft is a single- and multi-player construction game that involves players creating and destroying various types of blocks in a 3D environment. Implemented game modes include creative, in which players cannot die, and survival, which includes hostile mobs and allows for PvP.

The game can be played in web browser or with a downloadable client. The game server software is also available for download.

Minecraft Classic, the original version, can be downloaded for free or played in a web browser. The current and only updated version of Minecraft requires a paid account to download, update and play.
