Secret of the Inner Sanctum is the first part of the venerable Might and Magic series which itself is one of the three big old franchises of computer roleplaying. Might and Magic I was released in 1986 on Apple II and later converted for the Mac (1987), C64 (1988), PC (1988), NES (1990) and PC Engine (?). The first game of the series was essentially a clone of The Bard's Tale I, but couldn't repeat the huge success of this classic.
