Hello World,
Greetings from Nelson, New Zealand's sun capital.
As a lover of the English language, I enjoy editing... Not so much editing hundreds of pages at a time (though I do that too)... But editing text sentence by sentence, word by word.
They say that a great article begins with a great title. The ODP gives me a chance to work on my titles, one site at a time. How to capture the essence of a website in a phrase that is all at once compact, elegant and accurate? That is a challenge I love.
My favorite language tool is the Oxford English Dictionary (a twenty-volume reference for word freaks). My favorite pizza topping is rocket (what Americans call "arugula") with Parmesan cheese.
A few interests: tramping ("bushwalking" for Aussies, "hiking" for North Americans); navigating with map, compass and GPS; learning new accents; watching movies that make me laugh; tying knots; African drumming; didgeridoos; nonviolent communication; Gangaji; E-Prime. Okay, I'll stop threre.
